Andre Pereira, PhD, BVetMed is owner of CowLogic Consulting, LLC.

Andre was born and raised in Brazil, in the state of Minas Gerais. He received his Veterinary Medicine degree in 2009 and started consulting for several farms, working with herd health, reproduction recommendations, economic consulting, and nutrition. In 2010, Andre went to Louisiana State University for an opportunity to do a Master’s degree in dairy cow nutrition where he worked with dry distillers grains and amino acid balancing. Andre then went to the University of New Hampshire for his PhD and his doctoral research focused on the relationships between energy and amino acid balancing by feeding a variety of byproducts to dairy cows in an effort to improve production efficiency while reducing costs. After graduate school, Andre worked for a feed company, focusing on the development and countrywide training of their feed software. He then worked for an amino acid company as a business manager in Wisconsin and Minnesota and most recently spent time working with a team of nutritionists to develop nutritional and economic strategies to optimize milk production for herds serviced in the region.

Andre lives in Lino Lakes, MN with his wife Audrey and son Oliver. In their free time, they like to go camping and travel.
